I'm addicted to boyfriend jeans. This simple staple piece goes with everything, from dressy tops to casual sweatshirts. Dress them down, dress them up, the outcome is always chic and effortless. I paired mine with a blouse and lace-up flats. I love the neck tie trend so once I saw this shirt I knew I needed to add it to my wardrobe. If you want to recreate the look but don't have this style blouse, try a button up top with a tie.

Marie Claire

Is this real life? I'm in the February issue of Marie Claire magazine! What's even better is my fellow Detroit bloggers are too. A couple months ago Marie Claire invited me to a photoshoot, never did I think I would actually get into the magazine. I'm happy to say I made the cut. Everyone dressed to impress and although fashion is our strong suit, Marie Claire got personally about our beauty regime and what we love about ourselves.

Formal: Sorority Girl Style.

WHAT TO WEAR TO FORMAL

Fall formal is just around the corner for all you sorority girls out there. It's the perfect excuse to splurge on a cute new dress or even borrow from the endless closets of your sisters. Since this was my first formal, I chose the first option and purchased a trendy low cut number from TopShop. What caught my attention was the snakeskin print. I'm usually a sucker for basics but I could not say no once I tried it on. I went for a smokey eye and nude lip that went perfectly with the ensemble.

Fashion Speak

Detroit's elite fashionistas gathered together for this year's Fashion Speak conference. Bloggers, buyers, designers, and even students were in attendance to listen to fashion's up and coming. Speakers included Taubman staff, Buyer: Roslyn Karaoke, Banker: Kim Banat, Production Manager: Kristen Deryck, and Designer: Kevan Hall. This eventful day was filled with insight on how to make it in this competitive industry.
