Amiga Cheetah

As you may have noticed the temperature has dropped substantially low recently, especially here in the mitten. I was freezing for the few minutes it took to take these. However this cute cheetah coat is worth it. I love the boxy silhouette it creates. Recently I've been drawn to men's wear because I think it looks so effortless. I also scored it for only $50 on sale at Nordstroms. I paired this coat with a comfy tee also from Nordstroms and leather leggings from Express. I think these leggings are essential in my wardrobe. They can dress up even a t-shirt and make the look polished. My accessories include Vince Camuto leather boots, a colorblock Topshop purse, a cute hat from Topshop, and lastly a few gold accents. I think the hat adds a french twist to the look. I use every opportunity to can to sport this little goodie. Anyways the makeup I'm wearing is my usually routine, which I would love to film very soon. On my lips I'm wearing Medi by Mac. It photographed more berry than plum, however it is a very dark purplish shade. I love the way it looks on pale skin.
If you liked my look comment down below! I'd also love to hear what you guys are wearing for the cold season, let me know below!
Thanks for reading! <3

Coffee Break: Fall Lookbook

Time for another lookbook. Over the weekend I shot a fall lookbook with my friend Monica. It features a few different outfits and locations around my small town. Heres a sneak peak from the video featuring one of the outfits I chose to model. Right now I'm working on editing it and looking into filming a few more outfits. I hope you can get a little bit of inspiration from it for your wardrobe this fall.

New York

Last weekend, I had an amazing opportunity to visit New York City. Over the summer, I applied for Teen Vogue University and was notified that I was accepted. Teen Vogue University gives you the opportunity to meet with designers, stylists, and others who are involved in the fashion industry. This year they had a huge variety of speakers. Ranging from famous designers like Joseph Altuzarra to top model Coco Rocha. The classes were held all day Saturday and then continued Sunday morning at the Hudson Theater and Conde Nast building. Along with these wonderful classes, the students also got the opportunity to attend to shopping events, held at Express and Topshop. At these events, all the students were catered to and also received 20% off everything. This was definitely a highlight for me, since Topshop is incredible and is impossible to find in Michigan. I spent way too much money there and plan to do a haul showing what I purchased. Anyways, this trip was a fabulous experience. I thank everyone at Teen Vogue for giving people like me this awesome opportunity. These are a few photos from my trip. I don't have that many of Fashion U because I was just too excited.

New York Times

Trump Tower

Rockefeller Center

Empire State Building

Central Park

Alexa Chung. She was my favorite.

Kate Phelan of Topshop

Pipin the musical! This was really wonderful!

And last but certainly not least Times Square!

Sweater Weather

Sweater Weather. The leaves have started to change and the temperature is dropping. Which means it's the perfect excuse to start wearing the comfiest sweaters and scarves. Fall is here in Michigan which means all the warm clothing essentials come out. Yes, unfortunately this includes Ugg boots. Don't worry I won't be wearing a pair of those anytime soon. Instead, I chose a cute pair of ankle booties. I'm also wearing my burgundy circle scarf again, surprise surprise. Anyways my cardigan is from American Eagle. I bought it a little oversized so it would be even more cozy looking. I recommend doing this for sweaters and cardigans. Most of the time they look even better when they are looser. Underneath I paired a black v-neck from Target. Lastly, on bottom I'm wearing my dark jeans from Hollister. I also decided to wear my glasses and a burgundy lip. I think the glasses make the look, quirky while the lips bring it all together.

What is your favorite thing about Fall?
Mine is definitely cinnamon donuts and hot chocolate, yum! As well as Leaves the wonderful smelling candle from Bath and Body Works. It captures the smell of fall perfectly and leaves the entire house with the aroma.

Jean.

Today's look is casual yet put together. I'm wearing my favorite pair of jeans from Nordstroms paired with a thrifted light denim shirt. Since this button down was oversized I tied it at the bottom. I kept it simple with a burgundy circle scarf from Target. I recommend these types of scarves, they go great with everything and are nice and warm. My shoes are a little harder to see but I wore lace up brown boots which I think are from DSW. Lastly my hair is pulled into a sock bun. Recently I've been obsessed with sock buns. They take only a second to do yet they look put together. My outfit was simple and casual yet cute. I hope you guys enjoyed it.

Thanks,
xoxo Lex

Leather Loving.

Recently I've found myself obsessing over two fall trends. Leather and gold. They are a perfect combination. As it's already getting chilly in Michigan, I've found myself stacking on layer after layer of clothing. In today's look, I'm wearing a leather jacket I purchased from Express a year or so ago. I definitely recommend Express if you are searching for a leather jacket because the quality of this jacket for its price is incredible. Under my jacket I have on a simple white v-neck t-shirt. I'm not really into v-necks but I thought it created a nice silhouette with the collar jacket. On bottom I'm wearing my Articles of Society Jeans from Nordstrom. I love the dark color of these jeans. The shoes are my favorite part of the outfit. I'm wearing these sweet Vince Camuto leather boots. They have gold detailing all over the shoe. I'd have to say the gold cuff on the heel of the boot really makes it. These are on definitely pricey however I feel that I will be able to wear for years and years. They are a statement piece that I hope never goes out of style.

I'd love to hear what you are loving for fall? Let me know in the comments below!

OOTD: Dark Paradise

Hey Everyone todays post is an OOTD. I actually wore this a while ago but I wanted to write a post about it because I think the photos turned out fabulous. My friend, Monica just purchased a Canon 60D and we wanted to test it out. She is an awesome photographer, check out her blog http://monicabradburnphotography.wordpress.com. Anyways on to the look, my top is from Brandy Melville which I've been loving this summer. They started carrying a few items at a local Pac Sun and I can't stay away from it. I think their t-shirts are my favorite! My high-waisted shorts are actually from Hollister. Strange, I know, but they fit me pretty well. They do shrink super easy though. My plaid button down is thrifted from Goodwill and lastly my combat boots are from Gilks. I almost forgot about my accessories. My studded hat is really sweet, I purchased this online from Asos. My sunglasses are from Urban Outfitters and I'm wearing a few bracelets from a variety of places, Claires, Forever 21, Urban, etc.

Thanks for reading <3

XOXO, Lex
