New York

Last weekend, I had an amazing opportunity to visit New York City. Over the summer, I applied for Teen Vogue University and was notified that I was accepted. Teen Vogue University gives you the opportunity to meet with designers, stylists, and others who are involved in the fashion industry. This year they had a huge variety of speakers. Ranging from famous designers like Joseph Altuzarra to top model Coco Rocha. The classes were held all day Saturday and then continued Sunday morning at the Hudson Theater and Conde Nast building. Along with these wonderful classes, the students also got the opportunity to attend to shopping events, held at Express and Topshop. At these events, all the students were catered to and also received 20% off everything. This was definitely a highlight for me, since Topshop is incredible and is impossible to find in Michigan. I spent way too much money there and plan to do a haul showing what I purchased. Anyways, this trip was a fabulous experience. I thank everyone at Teen Vogue for giving people like me this awesome opportunity. These are a few photos from my trip. I don't have that many of Fashion U because I was just too excited.

Sweater Weather

Sweater Weather. The leaves have started to change and the temperature is dropping. Which means it's the perfect excuse to start wearing the comfiest sweaters and scarves. Fall is here in Michigan which means all the warm clothing essentials come out. Yes, unfortunately this includes Ugg boots. Don't worry I won't be wearing a pair of those anytime soon. Instead, I chose a cute pair of ankle booties. I'm also wearing my burgundy circle scarf again, surprise surprise. Anyways my cardigan is from American Eagle. I bought it a little oversized so it would be even more cozy looking. I recommend doing this for sweaters and cardigans. Most of the time they look even better when they are looser. Underneath I paired a black v-neck from Target. Lastly, on bottom I'm wearing my dark jeans from Hollister. I also decided to wear my glasses and a burgundy lip. I think the glasses make the look, quirky while the lips bring it all together.

What is your favorite thing about Fall?
Mine is definitely cinnamon donuts and hot chocolate, yum! As well as Leaves the wonderful smelling candle from Bath and Body Works. It captures the smell of fall perfectly and leaves the entire house with the aroma.

Jean.

Today's look is casual yet put together. I'm wearing my favorite pair of jeans from Nordstroms paired with a thrifted light denim shirt. Since this button down was oversized I tied it at the bottom. I kept it simple with a burgundy circle scarf from Target. I recommend these types of scarves, they go great with everything and are nice and warm. My shoes are a little harder to see but I wore lace up brown boots which I think are from DSW. Lastly my hair is pulled into a sock bun. Recently I've been obsessed with sock buns. They take only a second to do yet they look put together. My outfit was simple and casual yet cute. I hope you guys enjoyed it.

Thanks,
xoxo Lex
